Cobra site stated this bar would fit my 2001 Yamaha 1600 Road Star but the Amazon site said it would I took a chance and figured Cobra should know what It didn't line up well and at first I thought, "Dang, Amazon was I waited a few days before another attempt and this time didn't follow the instructions in order but kind of in reverse and it I've had Cobra freeway bars on many motorcycles and knew this was what I wanted and was very glad I didn't have to return went with four stars due to the fitment confusion and it was a little difficult to line it up on the install but man it looks good now that it's on!
